The acreage (parts of blocks 6508/3, 6608/12, 6609/10 & 11) is located 45 km east of the Norne facilities. A 4 way Jurassic/Triassic closure was the target for the exploration well 6609/10-2 drilled in late 2009.
The first exploration well 6609/10-2 was completed in December 2009. It was drilled on a 4 way Jurassic/Triassic closure and the evaluation of the prospects and leads indicated a possibility for oil and/or gas. No hydrocarbons were proven in the well.
