PetroMarker har utført EM innsamling for Discover Petroleum AS på Troll

PetroMarker verifikasjonsundersøkelse er blitt utført på Troll-feltet i Nordsjøen i begynnelsen av desember.

The vessel GeoBay has now left Stavanger and will perform some operational testing in the Finnøy area before it continues to the Troll field which is the first site for verification of the PetroMarker EM technology.

Statoil and Discover Petroleum have signed an agreement for the testing of an electromagnetic method that may increase the probability of oil and gas discoveries.

The aim of the method is to gather electromagnetic data with a view to identifying oil and gas in the reservoir. This will be used as a supplement to seismic data for calculating the probability of discovery.

Discover Petroleum has been awarded 10% of Production licence 396 in the Barents Sea
